Cincoze Powers EV Infrastructure with All-Weather Smart Charging Core

Widespread Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption relies entirely on charging infrastructure that can survive the extremes of the real world. A charging pile’s core computer must operate reliably 24/7, battling high heat, dust, vibration, and fluctuating power, all while being sealed within a minimal, restrictive enclosure. Because any fault or downtime directly impacts user experience and operating revenue, achieving maximum uptime in these harsh environments is critical for successful large-scale deployment.

To meet this challenge and enable aggressive network expansion, a prominent Asian charging operation service provider needed a compact, rugged control core. They selected the Cincoze DA-1000 to serve as the main control core, responsible for mission-critical tasks like calculating charging data, relaying usage records, and integrating transaction functions. This industrial solution has enabled the deployment of hundreds of units across numerous locations, continuously expanding the scale and coverage of their charging network.

Product Requirements

Compact Size and Diverse Mounting Options

Installation space inside charging piles is extremely limited, making a compact computer essential. The computer must have flexible mounting options to accommodate the structural constraints of various types of charging piles, ensuring rapid deployment.

Low Maintenance

The internal installation environment of charging piles is relatively enclosed, with heat and insufficient airflow posing major challenges. If located outdoors, the device must also endure prolonged exposure to weather changes and extreme temperature variations. Since EV Chargers operate 24/7, any fault or downtime directly impacts the user experience and operating revenue. As the core computer for the charging piles, low-maintenance features are critical.

Flexible Connectivity for Diverse Peripherals

Beyond supplying power, EV Chargers must also support functions like payment, data transmission, and surveillance. The core computer must offer rich connectivity to smoothly integrate with peripherals, enabling seamless system-wide coordination.

Why Cincoze?

Compact, Fanless, and Low Power Consumption

The DA-1000 is the ideal, cost-effective, and low-maintenance solution for charging piles. It features an ultra-low power processor with a TDP of just 12W, meeting the computing demands and lowering long-term operating costs. Its palm-sized dimensions (150 × 105 × 52.3 mm) combined with a fanless design make it perfectly suited for the narrow, enclosed installation environment of the charging pile. This design also prevents dust from being drawn into the computer, minimizing the need for maintenance.

Wireless Transmission and Multiple I/O Expansion

Real-time data transmission and basic services are fundamental to charging pile operation. The DA-1000 is equipped with two Mini-PCIe slots and a SIM card slot for wireless communication(Wi−Fi and GSM), satisfying management needs like surveillance and data transmission. Native I/O and modular expansion design provide a rich set of I/O ports (USB, COM, LAN, DIO) and display interfaces (DVI-I, DP, VGA, HDMI). These allow flexible connection to payment modules, display devices, and network systems, meeting diverse application requirements.

High Reliability for 24/7 Operation

Charging piles operating around the clock require extremely high equipment reliability. The DA-1000 is designed for a wide temperature range (-25°C to 70°C) and a wide voltage range (9-48V DC), and features shock & vibration protection, so it can easily tackle the challenges of harsh environments. The new model DA-1200 further enhances industrial-grade protection, supporting an even wider temperature range (-40°C–70°C) and meeting stricter standards, such as the US military MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration resistance standard, EMC standards for industrial environments (EN-61000-6-2/4), and UL safety standards. These features are crucial for providing uninterrupted 24/7 service.
