What is CRA (Cyber Resilience Act)?

The EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) is a mandatory regulation governing connected hardware and software products with digital elements placed on the EU market. The Act requires manufacturers to embed Security by Design principles from the earliest stages of product development, and to ensure effective vulnerability management mechanisms are maintained throughout the entire product lifecycle. The legislative objective of the CRA is to address existing cybersecurity gaps in digital products and software, and to comprehensively elevate the cybersecurity standards for digital products entering the EU market.
