They adopted Cincoze' rugged embedded computer DS-1100 to design their new portable surveillance system which allowed rapid deployment in the field and provided 24/7 remote surveillance.

The portable surveillance system required a powerful embedded computer that can turn any IP camera into an intelligent one and provided the ability to process advanced video analytics at the edge. This embedded computer must withstand wide temperature ranges, shock and vibration, and other conditions that could compromise the surveillance video or the equipment itself. Moreover, additional mini PCIe expansion slots and hot-swappable HDDs with RAID technology were necessary for wireless communications and data reliability.

Rugged Design

The computer supports -40°C to 70°C operating temperature, 50G shock, 5G vibration, and 9V-48V DC power input. Those features enable the DS-1100 to operate in harsh environments and risky conditions.

Hot-swappable HDD

The DS-1100 supports a hot-swappable SATA HDD with RAID 1 function. It provides data redundancy and fast drive replacement to keep the portable surveillance system in service.

Wireless Communication

With integrated Mini-PCIe & SIM card slots, the DS-1100 can add wireless communication functions such as WiFi, GPS, and LTE. It allows the command center to watch the surveillance video and control the cameras.
