The power industry is increasing the demand for renewable energy such as wind power. Wind power in Europe is a growing industry, 14% of the electricity comes from wind turbines. Power plant operators need to collect and process data from numerous devices located at remote sites to achieve lower maintenance efforts and high energy efficiency. To fulfill this background, our customer develops the power plant management system which is equipped with Cincoze rugged embedded computer "DA-1000".

To guarantee a sustainable and safe power supply, wind turbines must reliably produce energy every day under extreme conditions and should be controlled and monitored efficiently on a real-time basis. Power plant information management system is designed to collect the raw data from hundreds of wind turbines and transform it into intelligent information. Processed intelligent information has to be stored for a long period to enable historical analysis and improve power generation efficiency further.

Based on Intel® Atom™ Processor, wide operating temperature (-25˚C~70˚C), ESD/surge protection, and fanless design, the DA-1000 offers reliable performance to resist the extreme environmental conditions in wind farms.

Dual Intel GbE LAN

Powered by dual Intel® Ethernet Controllers I210-IT, it delivers the gigabit-performance connection to SCADA server and transfers diverse types of the power generation data, such as electricity production, temperature, wind velocity, voltage, current and rotation speed.

Flexible digital I/O expansions

The DA-1000 supports Combined Multiple I/O (CMI) module which is specially designed for flexible I/O expandability. It allows our customer to extend digital I/O ports to detect devices. For example, when a door of the wind turbine tower opens or closes.

Small size and flexible mounting

With the space-saving design (150 x 105 x 56 mm) and the ability for DIN rail mounting, the DA-1000 is easy for wiring and mounting in a small control cabinet.
